I am, of course, shocked and deeply saddened to read of Tom's death. He and I were good friends in medical school and I will always remember him for his ability to put life in perspective and to see the best in things. He will be in my thoughts as I continue on as a physician. I wish his family only the best. Tom was a purely wonderful person and he will be missed greatly.
