I only knew Tom a few short years while he was here at Georgetown in fellowship training, but I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to know him. Tom always made a point to say hello, crack a joke, give me a hug or a hug-five. He treated me like a good friend, even though we only knew each other casually through work. I was so saddened to hear of Tom's tragic death, and I will miss him very much. He was a great father, doctor, friend, and colleague, and I know all of us will miss his smile and laughter terribly.
