I had the amazing good fortune of working with Tom in residency and one year after, meeting his family, sharing picnics at his home and many great big bear hugs. The love and support from Tom was something no one could ever forget. We still have some of the big box of kids toys you guys dropped at our house when we had our newborn Emma (now five) at home, shellshocked as we were:)) Those toys have made their way to lots of kids who are all over the place now and the joy they have brought reminds me of the spirit Tom shared with all he knew. It will never be lost. I have spent the last few weeks in reflection on the choices we all make in our lives and how important it is to spend every moment in a place, spiritually and physically, that is right and true.
